Steve is the Chief Executive and disruptive force within PS Aspire, driving next generation thinking across the business to create innovative technology led solutions with the singular vision of redefining retirement savings.

He is passionate about integrating simplicity, flexibility and innovation into well designed retirement solutions that clients understand and value.  Over a 25 year career Steve has led a number of new business start-ups and change management projects, most recently the expansion of Punter Southall Investment Consulting. 

John Buttress

Managing Director, Sales & Marketing

John oversees the sales and marketing engine of PS Aspire. His career in financial services stretches over two decades and across both UK and international financial markets.

He has a dynamic entrepreneurial spirit that embraces change and is always on the lookout for what’s next or helping drive what’s next. An innovative and forward thinker, he is a great believer in keeping it simple, relevant and engaging. John brings a wealth of knowledge to the PS Aspire business, and whenever possible, he tries to put a smile on someone’s face.

Keith Carlson

Chief Operations Officer

Keith has more than 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on customer service and operations. He joined the Punter Southall Group in 2003 and has been part of the DC Pensions practice for eight years, becoming Chief Operating Officer for PS Aspire from its launch in 2016.

Keith’s legal background and customer focus has enabled him to develop strong internal systems and processes that enable us to provide our clients with high quality and efficient services through both our consulting and support teams.

Martin Hughes

Chief Technology Officer

Martin is PS Aspire’s Chief Technology Officer. A self-taught programmer from the age of 12, Martin has always had a fascination with computer technology and how harnessing its power can solve complex problems and bring great efficiencies to our everyday lives.

In 2008, he joined CAMRADATA and oversaw the development of the core asset manager database. He now leads the PS Aspire technology division where his team is working on a range of innovative, next generation solutions for the pensions and workplace solutions arena.

Alan Morahan

Managing Director - DC Consulting

Alan is Head of DC Consulting at PS Aspire. He recognises that the world of pensions is often shrouded in jargon and is passionate about taking the complicated and turning it into something that is understandable to the majority.  

Alan is a recognised expert in his field, whose opinion is highly valued by many leading industry publications. As well as managing the DC business he is still a relationship person at heart, often working from the initial contact stage through to the successful implementation and beyond.

Gareth Sawyer

Managing Director - Workplace Solutions

Gareth oversees a newly formed division within PS Aspire focusing on the design, build and delivery of innovative and technology driven products and propositions for the workplace solutions market.

He is a strategist and business developer with in-depth knowledge and experience of the sector, having held CEO/MD positions, and strategy and M&A roles (in pensions, wealth and asset management) for over 37 years. Renowned for his passionate, considered and pragmatic approach to the issues facing employers and their workforce, Gareth is focused on inspiring employees to generate superior outcomes.

Sean Thompson

Managing Director, CAMRADATA

Sean is Managing Director of CAMRADATA, which is the investment research business of PS Aspire. Sean has 30 years experience in the financial services industry including roles at a Lloyd’s Managing Agency; various asset managers; and an investment consultancy firm.

His role focuses on the products, services, sales, marketing and communications of the firm and is committed to ensuring that we remain at the cutting edge of our market to optimise our business and that of our clients.
