Punter Southall Aspire are delighted to be recognised as an Age Friendly Employer by Business in the Community in their 2020 Responsible Business awards.

Business in the Community exists to inspire and engage businesses to become more responsible and tackle some of the society's biggest issues. Punter Southall Aspire have been recognised in their annual awards as BITC Responsible Business Champions, in the Age category. The award recognises businesses who are demonstrating a strong commitment to an aging workforce, responding to the opportunities and challenges involved in an ageing workforce, and creating workplaces where people of all ages can thrive.

BITC highlighted Punter Southall Aspire's ‘Manage the Gap’ initiative in particular, which champions inclusion and diversity across a growing multi-generational workforce – contributing to a more harmonious and productive business culture.

Punter Southall Aspire become Race at Work Charter signatory

Punter Southall Aspire has signed up to the Race at Work Charter, an initiative designed to improve outcomes for black, Asian and minority ethnic employees in the UK.

Steve Butler, CEO, Punter Southall Aspire said:

By signing the Race at Work Charter we are signalling our commitment to ensuring that ethnic minority employees are represented at all levels in our organisation - this means taking practical steps to ensure our workplace is representative of society as a whole."

We were delighted to be named the winners of Management Today's NextGen Culture award category at their 2020 awards. Punter Southall CEO Steve Butler's book 'Manage the Gap: Achieving Success with Intergenerational Teams' has been shortlisted by the Business Book Awards in the category of 'An Exceptional Book That Promotes Diversity'. Manage the Gap identifies the demographic revolution which is underway in the workplace, and seeks to empower employers to effectively manage the different skills and assets brought by the different generations in the workplace. LGBT Great’s Role Models are LGBT+ or ally individuals who are working in or with the investment industry across all levels.

Renegade Generation work to source career options for the over 40s and to unleash the untapped value of mature talent. The list highlights the companies who are committed to increasing their age-friendliness and are proud to be leading the way. 

We were also nominated for the 2019 Money Age Diversity Award, recognising the importance of diversity in the workplace.

As we have a variety of business units and job types within the business, there are many training routes available linked to the career path you take. Below we’ve listed some of the key professional bodies with which employees have previously studied:

Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Professional Qualifications: for those looking to achieve a qualification which is relevant for Retail Investment Advice.

Pensions Management Institute (PMI) Professional Qualifications: for those working in the field of employee benefits and retirement savings.

Chartered Management Institute (CMI) training and development programmes: offered to employees in a management role.

As well as the professional qualifications mentioned above, we also believe in providing on-the-job learning opportunities that support your professional development and enable you to fulfil your potential, including:
